How we use your answers.

1. Who runs the survey

YOROZUYA SURVEY is run by YOROZUYA (yorozuya.club), a small shop bringing Japanese anime goods to fans in Africa and beyond. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Your answers. Country, city or area, birth year, gender (optional), occupation, a rough income band (optional) and your answers about anime, goods, prices and payment. We don’t ask for your name, phone number or address.
  • Technical data to keep results honest. A random ID stored in your browser and a scrambled (hashed) form of your connection’s IP address, so the same person can’t answer many times. We never store your IP address itself.
  • Your email — only if you enter the prize draw. It is stored in a separate table, not with your answers.

3. How we use it

  • We combine answers into totals and percentages (for example, “42% of respondents in Lagos bought goods in the last year”) and share these reports with companies, mostly in Japan, that want to serve fans better.
  • We never sell or share one person’s answers. Groups smaller than five people are not shown in any report.
  • Written comments may be quoted without any detail that could identify you.
  • Your email is used only to contact prize winners. We delete draw emails within 90 days after each draw.

4. Age

The survey is for people aged 18 and over. If you tell us you are younger, we don’t record your answers.

5. Your choices

Taking part is voluntary and you can stop at any time — nothing is sent until you press “Submit”. Because the survey is anonymous we usually can’t find one person’s answers, but if you entered the draw you can ask us to delete your email, or ask any question about your data, at [email protected]. You also have rights under the data-protection laws of your country (for example POPIA in South Africa, the NDPA in Nigeria, the Data Protection Act in Kenya and Law No. 151 of 2020 in Egypt).

6. Where data is kept

Answers are stored on Cloudflare’s cloud infrastructure, which may process data outside your country. We keep access limited to the small team that runs the survey.

7. Prize draw

Prizes are YOROZUYA goods or discounts for future events. Winners are picked at random from people who entered their email after completing the survey, one entry per person per survey. Prizes can’t be exchanged for cash. Where local rules require, we will publish additional draw terms on this page.
